Every college student has a trip that they would love to take, but there is normally one thing stopping them.....money. MyCollegeRoadTrip wants to give you the tools to raise that money from friends, family, companies, and other readers to fund that amazing trip.

Think of this as the way to describe with words, pictures, and videos what you want to do. This way it would be a lot better than begging for money from friends or sitting around complaining about "I could never afford to do something like that." The trips can be any type you want from missions trips to the craziest spring break, whatever you think that you can get people to donate to your cause.

Create your MCRT Trip Idea and ChipIn Widget Today

Creating your own is a really easy process that should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a step by step guide that will give you the ability to raise the money you need.

-  Become MyCollegeRoadTrip registered user so you can create your own article.
 
- Write, Upload Pictures, and embed videos about your dream trip or volunteer opportunity that you want to raise money for.
 
- Go to http://www.chipin.com/ and create a widget that describes your trip and links to your paypal account.
 
- Under "Where do you want to put your widget" select OTHER and get the embed code
 
- Paste the embed code in the video box or in the HTML so that it will appear on your article

Once you've done that post your Trip Idea and ChipIn widget to facebook and email it to your friends to start raising money. For anyone that has ever had to write paper letters to family friends to fund volunteer trips think of how much better it will be to use the web to source those dollars.
